Samsung: Open AI says it is working with Samsung on new chips (Reuters)

"One of the areas where we have made the most progress and gained the most recognition with Samsung Electronics is our joint production and ​research on the next-generation chips we are developing," Harrison Kim, General Manager of OpenAI Korea, said at ​a press conference in Seoul on Wednesday, without elaborating.

The report does not say if this relates to Jalapeno.

Kioxia: Priority is keeping prices at high levels, not substantially higher price; dismisses Hynix tie-up (BBG)

Kioxia CEO’s recent comments driving home the point that the trade is about the duration of the up-cycle now:

Ota, who took Kioxia’s helm in April, said he has instructed his sales teams not to push for substantially higher prices from data center operators, out of fear of damaging investment appetite in the AI sector. Ota didn’t rule out price hikes in future, but said Kioxia’s priority for now was on keeping chip prices at their current high levels.
