What you will find is that you will be getting outreach from a vocal minority of your paid readership, who probably aren’t representative of the whole.
There are a handful of readers who make significant contributions to the content of the posts. Maybe around 20 very engaged in the chat (also an important contribution). I wonder what the remaining 450 have to say.
Actually on reflection I find that abandoning the pretence that I know everything and co-creating with readers has been tremendously successful. Many Substack writers continue to have a god complex.

That’s not my experience and is literally contrary to the spirit and title of this post.

But on a serious note, I think most of the time, the subscribers / readers are more passive. But ur article is a great reminder. Thanks.
