Thoughts from a cable manufacturer's AGM
Dear subscribers,
We have a quick report from the AGM of Tai Sin Electric, which we believe is the dominant cable manufacturer in Singapore. They also manufacture busbar trunking systems and distribute other electrical products. They have a footprint in seven other ASEAN countries and localised cable operations in Malaysia and Vietnam.
This company landed on our radar because of the construction boom in Singapore. We believe cables account for a significant % of spend in data centers, infrastructure projects like Changi Terminal 5 and the Tuas port, and even hotels.
On top of that, ASEAN spending on electrification and renewables is going to be very significant indeed, as advertised by this booth from Singapore International Energy Week.
